March to the beat of your own drum and join us one Saturday a month for in-person bucket drumming and drumline workshops. No prior music experience or knowledge is required! Workshops will be run by professional instructors from Bandology, a non-profit dedicated to providing more music for more kids.

We start with the basics of how to hold the drumstick, how and where to hit the bucket and progress to rhythms increasing in speed and difficulty! The first four sessions will focus on the fundamentals of rhythm and technique on the bucket drums. Each session will progress in difficulty, building on learnings introduced the previous month. The final four sessions will transition to drumline, where the skills learned on the buckets can be translated to marching snare, bass and quad drums. By the end of the sessions, each student will be able to play entire pieces!

Saturday Brampton Beats meets every on the third Saturday of every month from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time at the CNIB Brampton Community Hub. When the third Saturday falls on a holiday weekend the class will be moved to the fourth Saturday.
