Congratulations to Robert Froom, the 2022 recipient of The Arthur Napier Magill Distinguished Service Award – our highest public honour recognizing our passionate and dedicated volunteers.
Robert and David’s story is one that has touched the hearts of many people. In 1991, Robert and his late brother David attended camp at CNIB Lake Joe for the first time. It was described as a life changing experience by both brothers – one that would become the catalyst for countless hours of service in support of both CNIB and DBCS for years to come.
Above all, Robert's most enduring impact is his passion to ensure that Canadians with sight loss and their families may experience the transformative programs offered at CNIB Lake Joe. Robert is often known to say, "the person who most needs to come to CNIB Lake Joe may not even know how much they need to come."
