“The way Charlie looks up at me when we’re out and about makes me feel so special. The level of companionship, love and loyalty that I receive from him is remarkable. He has an innate ability to understand there’s a time for work, rest and play. I remember being overwhelmed with excitement and happiness when we first met. Charlie has made me more confident and secure. He’s always by my side and I have a feeling of emptiness when he’s not there. It's like a part of me is missing. We've never been refused service or denied access, but we had an unfortunate incident getting off a bus onto a very busy road after a snowstorm. Charlie checked for the safest route and we ended up in a large, snow-filled ditch. Poor Charlie was trying to get us to the sidewalk, but we were knee-deep in snow. I was annoyed at the lack of consideration and empathy from the bus driver who didn't offer any assistance. Fortunately, Charlie did his job and ensured I was safe. He’s my left-hand man, and even after such a short time together, I know I would be lost without him.” – Lindsay
