The Abilities Specialist plays a support role in case management of employees on short-term (STD) and long-term (LTD) disability as well as workplace injuries. The Abilities Specialist will provide problem-solving assistance to improve recovery and return-to-work while ensuring employment obligations are met.
Drawing from your strong disability and health and safety background, you are responsible for maintaining, reviewing and reporting all disability and workplace injury claims. Your role will include promoting health and wellness, improve attendance management, evaluate current trends and programs and provide recommendations to prevent future claims.
This role will liaise with Management, the People and Culture team, and our Case Manager through a third-party healthcare provider while reporting to the Senior, Manager, Total Rewards.
