Going to the store for groceries can pose challenges or may simply be inconvenient for someone who is blind or partially sighted. We will learn about a grocery delivery application for iPhone and Android devices called Instacart. The app allows you to build a grocery list, and provides a seamless, interactive experience from the time the shopper begins purchasing your items until the time your groceries are delivered to your door. The app will be demonstrated during the session. Participants will receive a VIBE Arts Djembe Drum on loan (delivered to their homes) to use for the duration of the program. The artist will guide the participants through an introduction to African Drumming, creating rhythms and music together online. Following the end of the series of workshops the Djembe Drums will be picked up from each participant by Vibe.

A support group for blind/partially sighted parents.  From infancy to adulthood - blind mothers and fathers can learn, explore, and share their triumphs, challenges, tips and stories among peers in a supportive environment. The group meets twice monthly in order to accommodate busy schedules. This group runs via Zoom web conference on the second Wednesday of the month from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time and the last Saturday of the month from 2 to 3 p.m. Call in information will be given upon registration.
