Property Assistant

Reporting to the Facility Operator the Property Assistant will assist with the property needs of CNIB Lake Joseph Centre with a strong focus on providing the best guest experience. As a member of the facility team, responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: landscaping; property and equipment maintenance; building maintenance and cleaning; and assisting with property projects as required.

Lead, Waterfront

The Lead, Waterfront will provide support to the planning, supervising and facilitation of all waterfront programs available to guests at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre with a focus on the best guest experience. This position is responsible for taking a supportive leadership role with staff and volunteers to ensure that guests are provided with exceptional care and attention while participating in programming both on and off Lake Joe property.

Wellness Coordinator

With exceptional guest safety and experience at the forefront, the Wellness Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Manager, Wellness Assistant and contracted catering company to provide care to all guests, with a focus on overall wellness, including special diets. The Wellness Coordinator will work with the Wellness Assistant to ensure smooth running of the Wellness Centre. They will be responsible for healthcare related matters which include, but is not limited to guest wellness (hydration, sun safety), first-aid and/or emergency medical response, maintaining of medical records and notes, as well as provide support with daily living needs.

Lead, Special Programs and Leadership

The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership will lead and support the planning and facilitation of all special programming as well as take a supportive leadership role with staff and volunteers at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This includes special events (e.g. Carnival, Casino Night, theme days, etc.) as well as supporting the land functions and staff of the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre (campfires, arts and crafts, tandem biking etc.). The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership will also be responsible for the further development, execution and evaluation of Lake Joe's leadership programs (LIT, CIT, WILD). This position takes an active role in other programming as assigned. The Lead, Special Programs and Leadership is responsible for supporting staff and volunteers to ensure that guests receive exceptional care and attention while participating in programming both on and off Lake Joe property.

Program Facilitator

The Program Facilitator will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This is accomplished through creative planning, energetic facilitation and excellent interpersonal skills. The Lake Joe Program Facilitators will lead land programming at Lake Joe and support with waterfront programming.

Lead, Communication & Outreach

The Lead, Communication and Outreach will assist in the planning and implementation of the communication strategy and is also responsible for the development and fostering relationships with community members and groups that support CNIB Lake Joseph Centre and its programming. As the communications lead the individual will be responsible for the management of our social media channels, content creation and the collection images and videos of our guests. Working with our program staff and coordinators the Lead will also plan, coordinate and facilitate off-site trips to local attractions and events. This position takes an active role in other programming as assigned.

Program Facilitator - Waterfront

The Program Facilitator – Waterfront will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This is accomplished through creative planning, energetic facilitation and excellent interpersonal skills. The Program Facilitator – Waterfront position is an active lifeguard role. The waterfront team at Lake Joe supports all spring and summer waterfront programming.

Lead, Accessibility & Inclusion

The Lead, Accessibility and Inclusion will lead and support the planning and facilitation of inclusive guest and staff experiences for those who require additional support with the goal of universal design. This position will work with the Wellness team in the assessment of the needs of an individual and assist in the implementation of strategies to facilitate a successful guest experience. As the accessibility lead this position will also be the point person for the Inclusion Support Specialist, Vision Loss Rehab staff and volunteers at the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. This position takes an active role in other programming as assigned.

Program Facilitator – Inclusion Support Specialist

The Program Facilitator – Inclusion Support Specialist will hold guest experience as the highest priority while providing safe recreational opportunities for guests (seniors, adults, families, children and youth) attending the CNIB Lake Joseph Centre. Working with our Accessibility & Inclusion Lead this person will be the main point of contact for providing support for guests who require additional attention. They will take a leadership role in assisting with staff training, assisting with adaptive equipment and planning modified programs, when possible. They will support other areas (waterfront, boat, land programs) as needed.

Wellness Assistant

The Wellness Assistant will provide coordinated support to guests and catering company around general wellness of guests, with a specific focus on special diets, and proper hydration during program activities. In general, the Wellness Assistant will support the Wellness Coordinator with the assistance of daily living needs to campers/guests. The primary responsibilities of the Wellness Team are to support our guests in their daily care, hydration, first-aid, safety and daily living at Lake Joe. When the schedule allows, there can also be opportunity to assist with program facilitation.
