CNIB Dining in the Dark Ottawa

CNIB invites you to ignite your senses! Smell, taste and texture!

Dining in the Dark is CNIB's premiere event and one of Ottawa's most unique dining experiences. As the name indicates, guests are blindfolded throughout a meal, and therein able to experience the meal in a whole new way, and gain a better understanding of the realities faced by people living with vision loss.

Our Mission is to change what it is to be blind, and enable Canadians impacted by blindness to live the lives they choose. Through innovative programs and powerful advocacy, we tear down barriers for people living sight loss. Building on the success of last years sold-out event, this year we are inviting Ottawa's top chefs and restaurants to each present a course and give their take on the theme of dining without sight. With the great publicity we received last year, we are expecting to sell out again with at least 200 dinners. All proceeds go to supporting CNIB programming in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region.
